Where it all began

                             throw away
                             throw everything away
                             and start

(a quote from the "Poza granice ograniczeń" book by Anna Długołęcka)

The history of our brand reaches far into the past with our ancestors, being born from my great-great grandmother Zofia’s love for woven yarn. She was fully absorbed in her passion and strived to create intricate weaves and unique structural patterns applied to clothing but also other creations like blankets, carpets, jewellery compartments. My great grandmother picked up her mantle and my mother, Anna Dlugolecka, followed suit and elevated their craft into art. My mother, with her visionary scale and untamed creativity, also became an opera director - creating unforgettable opera productions ..

My great grandfather, Adam, also plays a role in our story, who poured countless hours into sculpting and creating models of air planes. The plethora of long days and multitudes of patience would bear fruit with beautiful creations ranging from sculptures to imitations of everyday objects such as toilets, dressers, wardrobes or even… shoes!

Shoes… hand made during world war II gave life to my beloved grandmother Danusia as during a fitting appointment my great grandfather fell in love with his client, who later became my great grandmother Stanislawa. She was in love with aesthetics, beautiful garments and style – a lady.

The contents of her wardrobes and attic were a place where my mother would get lost during the time she spent with her grandparents on summer holidays. I in particular remember how my mother at lengths can describe hand-made silk dresses, jewellery and beautiful hand bags!

And so, years later my mother introduced to the collection new boots, made from hand painted African Batiks, hand stitched on hand-made clogs!

My great grandfather’s love for airplanes has impacted our work as well, me and my mother love flying and it is on airplanes, during flights, that we stumble upon our greatest inspirations...

...This love of airplanes and travel led us to spend a wonderful few years in Africa, where Absolut Dimension was born.

It is there that the first steps of our vision were created, dresses which give us our identity saturated with the desires of the soul.

We moved to Africa when I was 4 years old, the time there helped me become the person I am today, cosmopolitan outlook and tolerance are values I hold dear. Seeing humans as unique individuals in tune with nature, these are the tenets and premises which form the foundation of our brand.

My mother, ever-present and pursuing her creative passions became an opera director, creating beautiful arrangements which inspire the artistic shine of our outfits.

When our client wears our vision...

everyone is silent,

the lights go out

and the spectacle of life begins...
